EARTH BOUND's LOVING KINDNESS

Strengthen feelings of kindness and connection toward yourself and others in a free guided meditation offering at MMCC. Madison resident Kelly Kozel brings years of open-minded exploration to the practice of meditation. She will lead the METTA MEDITATION, known as LOVING KINDNESS MEDITATION, on Saturday afternoon, cancelled until further notice June 25th from 3:30-4:30 pm.

In Pali — a language that's closely related to Sanskrit and spoken in northern India — “metta” means positive energy and kindness toward others. Metta is an active form of meditation where instead of focusing on the breath, we focus on sending benevolent thoughts and wishes out into the world, as we imagine that the people—or even animals—in our minds are touched by our good will. Whether you have never meditated before or you’re seasoned in your meditation practice, Metta can be a powerful way to send love to yourself and others. Community members of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us in a safe and welcoming space in Gallery 3 at MMCC. This is a free event.
