Madison on Madison: Speech Competition

  • Madison-Morgan Cultural Center 434 South Main Street Madison, Georgia, 30650 United States (map)

Celebrating History, Civic Engagement, and the Power of Young Voices

Join the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center for Madison on Madison, a special speech competition celebrating James Madison, the “Father of the Constitution,” and the enduring principles of American democracy.

High school students from Morgan County are invited to put their public speaking skills to the test as they explore the life, ideas, and legacy of James Madison, the founding father for whom the city of Madison, Georgia, was named. Finalists will deliver five-minute speeches before a panel of judges, with cash prizes awarded to the top three speakers.

Held during Constitution Week and in celebration of America's 250th anniversary, this inspiring afternoon offers the community an opportunity to support the next generation of thoughtful speakers while reflecting on the history and ideals that continue to shape our nation.

Come hear the voices of Morgan County's young scholars, celebrate their accomplishments, and experience an afternoon of history, civic engagement, and community at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center.

The competition is open to participating Morgan County high school students, and the community is invited to attend.
