Cut & Paste: The Art of Magazine Collage

In this class, you'll experiment with 5 different approaches to analog collage: conceptual, narrative, layered landscapes, typography, and portraits. Each week, you'll learn tips for composition, image selection, layering, and storytelling. Along the way, you'll create a vibrant collection of collages that reflect your voice, vision and growth.

CLASS MATERIALS:

Collage material: magazines, books, catalogs, scrapbook paper, and other paper ephemera

Cutting tools: scissors, craft knife

Adhesives: glue sticks, matte medium, tape runner, double-sided tape, glue dots 8 x 10 watercolor paper

Don’t worry if you don’t have all the materials. Just bring what you have. There will be materials to share available in class, and after the first class you’ll have a better sense of the tools you may desire or need. Contact me with questions at kristenradden@gmail.com
