MMCC Announces New Friends Structure

Dear Friends,

We at MMCC are excited to announce our new Friends structure. This change is intended to clarify confusion between membership, sponsorship, individual and corporate donors. Your feedback from our surveys has been helpful, and we have the resources to support this change. We are confident that this new simplified system best recognizes and appreciates you, our Friends.

Though our levels will be renamed, the benefits to you will remain largely unchanged. Instead of being differentiated as members and donors, all our supporters will be our Friends. Corporate supporters will also be included as Friends, but their benefits will include those especially directed to businesses. Sponsorship of events will remain a separate category and will not be included in the level attributed to Friends.

We especially want you to know about our inaugural “Back to the Schoolhouse” Party on August 20, 2022. We are inviting all of our current Friends to the event to show our appreciation to you! Please make sure you are a current Friend (Students included!) by August 6th to receive an invitation to this event.

Celebrating “Friends of the Center.”  This event is for all MMCC supporters. Head Back to the Schoolhouse for an appreciation event with live music, food, and fun! Make sure you are a current Friend by 8/6/22 to receive an invitation to this event. Not sure if you’re a current Friend? Call the Center at (706) 342-4743.

Recognition for Friends on all materials and our website will start each year on July 1 and end on June 30 to coincide with our fiscal year. All donations will be cumulative during this period, and your level of giving will be adjusted monthly to coincide with total giving. This season we will also be introducing the option of recurring donations, which can help make sure you are always current without the hassle! Stay tuned for more information later this summer.

We owe our 46 years of success to you, and ask for your patience with us as we strive to improve. We are confident you will find value in being a Friend of the Center.

Thank you,

Melissa Klein, MMCC Executive Director & Jane Stoner, MMCC Membership Committee Chair
