2011 Madison In May
Spring Tour of Homes

About Madison In May

Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7

Southern history comes alive at the annual Madison in May Spring Tour of Homes & Gardens!  Our spring tour features private homes and gardens plus historic churches dating from the early 1800s into the 1900s, with the same houses and churches open both days.

The Madison in May tour is a self-guided tour through one of Georgia’s oldest and largest National Register Historic Districts.  6 of the 7 homes on tour this year are located in the historic district and are within a short walking distance of the Cultural Center (tour headquarters).  One home, Camp Boxwoods, is located approximately 4 miles outside of town and does require a car to reach; there is plenty of parking on the grounds.

Combine your visit with shopping and dining in historic downtown Madison and perhaps an overnight stay for a truly memorable experience!
