The Cultural Center is proud to welcome back artistic director Christopher Rex, Principal Cellist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, for the 10th exciting season.  The Madison Chamber Music Festival has established itself among the nation’s premier chamber music festivals.  2012 marks the tenth year in which world-class musicians have assembled in Madison and the surrounding area to present concerts also heard in venues around the world.  Please join us for some or all of the inspiring performances, this year exploring the roots of music.

Hotlanta Dixieland Jazz band sets your feet firmly on Bourbon Street in Old New Orleans. You'll experience every bit of the joy, energy, and humor of that early American Jazz called Dixieland. Hotlanta brings the music; Lee Harper Dancers bring the swing to this free concert! An old-fashioned ice cream social on the Center’s front lawn immediately follows the concert.

With her consistently striking and dynamic performances, 24-year-old Russian-born pianist Natasha Paremski reveals astounding virtuosity and voracious interpretive abilities. Named 2010 Classical Recording Foundation’s Young Artist of the Year, Natasha continues to generate excitement from all corners as she wins over audiences with her musical sensibility and flawless technique. Join Natasha and Chris Rex in one of Madison’s most outstanding historic homes. Proceeded by a wine and cheese reception.

As a tribute to our 10 years of fantastic festival concerts, we present the return of a stellar performer, violinist Rachel Barton Pine. The consummate versatile virtuoso, Ms. Pine will lead the audience on a unique musical tour covering styles from Baroque to Heavy Metal performing music by Bach, Mark O’Connor, and Ozzy Osbourne. Guest performers include Natasha Paremski, Christiana Liberis, and Christopher Rex. Moonlight reception.

Music of Passion and Fire Encore

Presenting an encore performance of a past Festival favorite, Chris Rex, Susie Park, Elizabeth Pridgen, and members of the Linden Quartet perform passionate, fiery crowd-pleasers, including The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Piazolla, the Tango king. Don’t miss this evening of brilliant music and delicious food. Doors open at 6 pm for concert ticket holders only (dinner reservations through Town 220 required – call 706-752-1445. Dinner not included in ticket price).
